Landscape Photographer in Dumfries and Galloway

I am passionate about photography and try to produce images that are 'more than a photograph'. I want them to capture the spirit of the place and something that makes the viewer stop and considers. To do this, I believe that I have to have an innate understanding of the environment I am photographing to enable me to best understand its ever changing moods. I am lucky enough to live along the Solway Firth in Southwest Scotland and this is my inspiration. I produce both abstract and more traditional images and am also currently concentrating on producing one-off images that have been taken with a digital camera but then developed using traditional dark room techniques and printed onto water colour paper that I then hand colour in an attempt to add another depth and interest to my photographs and make each one truly unique.
